Hello! My name is Lori Wlos, a grade two teacher and a proud member of the Lakeland Ridge Wolf Pack.
I began my teaching career in September of 2001. I’ve taught grades K-4 in two different districts. I received my Kinesiology degree at the University of Lethbridge and my after-degree in Elementary Education at the University of Alberta.
What attracted me to Lakeland Ridge is the sense of community and how the children and staff across the school look out for each other. I feel very privileged to work in such a dynamic school that always provides the best for children’s education and well-being.
Outside of my school life I cherish my time spent with my husband, Kory and daughter, Jamison. They are my life, my travelling partners, my everything! Jamison keeps us very busy throughout the school year. We are always on the road driving her to practices, competitions or tournaments. We enjoy watching her excel in softball, figure skating, and volleyball. Additionally, I enjoy BAKING (and sharing it…), gardening, travelling to warm destinations (Maui and all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and Jamaica), AND cheering for the Saskatchewan Roughriders! Go …...Green!!
I am a strong believer in the team approach - teacher, parent, child. I encourage you to be involved. To keep you informed of what we are doing in our classroom, I will be using SEESAW to post weekly updates, photos and videos of your child’s learning and to send private messages. I will also use the school agenda and my email as another way of communication.
