Hi there! Another school year brings many amazing adventures. I am excited to be a part of the Lakeland staff that will help guide the students along the path to success. When I am in the classroom teaching English Language Arts, I get to learn with the students all about the incredible tales to be told in various forms of media such as novels, short stories, films, and poetry. This class gives me the opportunity to learn so many interesting stories as told by the students in the classes. For the rest of my teaching time, I get to be active in the gym during Physical Education class or the Recreation option. It’s great to be able to see students in these two different environments, one where they can shine by writing an interesting story and the other where they can show their athletic side and learn the joys and benefits of being active on a daily basis.
Beyond teaching, I am also involved in many different things, both in school and out. I am the athletic director at Lakeland, so I have the opportunity to be involved with many different Wolves who impress me every day with their athletic skills. At home, I have a fun-loving family. My wonderful wife, who I have been with since grade 11, is also a teacher (but in Edmonton Public - we won’t hold that against her out here in Elk Island). I also have a beautiful daughter named Grace who makes me so proud of her accomplishments each and every day. Last but not least is my handsome son Charlie, who also amazes me every day and is making me work hard at any sport we end up playing.
Please also check out Google Classroom and/or Powerschool with your child on a daily basis to keep up to date on assignments/exams.
