Our Vision
This, is Wolf Country
The wolves gather together, creating a unified and proud pack. They take care to mentor and nurture the youngest of the cubs, and pay heed to the needs of even the most diverse of their group. They are instinctively aware of the need for cooperation, collaboration, innovation, and inspired leadership. They are a family, a community. They are strong now. In time, with the combined effort of each pack member, they will be great. This, is wolf country. This, is Lakeland Ridge School.
Walk through the front doors of our school and be impressed by the culture of community all Lakeland Ridge students, staff, and parents have worked to create. In time to come, communication among all stakeholders will be more strongly evident as even the youngest of students will be able to share with a visitor or a friend what it means to be a member of our “wolf pack”. The partnership between community and school will strengthen; Lakeland Ridge will be a safe and stimulating learning environment where individual student differences are celebrated, and all members of our pack will experience a sense of belonging, knowing that their uniqueness is valued and appreciated. Watch, as older students nurture and guide younger pupils while the leaders of the school work collaboratively with each critical stakeholder.
Walk through the door of a classroom and you will be struck by the dedication of all staff members to a culture of inquiry. The integration of innovative technology and the application of current assessment practices work seamlessly to foster in students a sense of empowerment and to inspire excellence. Enjoy the sense of fun that permeates every learning experience as students and staff participate in a variety of curricular and extra-curricular activities. Paint brushes, basketballs, laptops, and community service are interwoven into the fabric of their education. Witness the myriad of opportunities that let their academic, artistic, athletic, and leadership skills shine. Lakeland Ridge students will demonstrate kind and respectful behavior grounded in a strong sense of character and self-discipline. Their classroom will be well cared for, as will the environment in which they live. Lakeland students will be determined to leave a positive “pawprint” on their school, their community, and their world.
Walk into the life of a Lakeland Ridge student, and recognize that each is an integral contributor to the success of our school, and is acutely aware of such. Take the time to let them share the experiences they will have had in this rich and varied learning community.
